Volvamos a los orígenes del rock'n'roll con uno de su temas más emblemáticos como es este "Shake, Rattle & roll" y lo hagámoslo con la versión protagonizada por el gran bluesman Big Joe Turner.
Editada en el 54 para el sello de Ahmet Ertegun, Atlantic, fue la primera versión grabada de este clasicazo antes que colosos de la talla de Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis o Elvis Presley la incluyesen en sus discografías.
En este caso, la de Turner suena mucho más rhythmandbluesera con un marcado ritmo, un sutil piano a lo largo de toda la canción y un solo de saxo irresistible. El estribillo es otro de los grandes ganchos y el perfecto activo para convertirse en todo un himno.
Personalmente no me cansaré nunca de escucharla y es tan adictiva por su buen rollo y vitalidad que lo haré otra vez en este soleado domingo de Pascua.
